Solar Jar Lights

I saw this idea for Solar Jar Lights on Pinterest
and thought it would make a great
Mother's Day Gift for my mom.

So I thought I would give it a try.
I bought 3 jars, 3 solar lights, some twine and wooden decorative flowers
all for under $10.00.

The first thing I did was take apart the solar lights.

I then applied glue to the top and
attached it to the lid of the jar.
You want the photocell to be facing up
when the lid is closed.

After it had dried overnight
I added the light extension.

I thought it gave the jar more of a lantern type look.

Then came the twine.

And I attached the flowers on each side of the jar.

They glowed beautifully in the dark and gave off a great light design.
I can just see them on my mom's deck.

Now I want to make some more for my decks for summer :)
