For today... Monday, July 13, 2015
Outside my window... Hot with a slight breeze and blue skies. We are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch but it doesn't look like it from the sky.I am thinking... Of all the things I need to do this week.
I am thankful for... People! I love interacting with the different people I am meeting at school, work and in my day to day life.
From the kitchen...
Monday: Spaghetti & Sauce, Ceasar Salad
Tuesday: Hubby Cooks
Wednesday: Out
Thursday: Beef & Broccoli Stir-Fry, Rice, Salad
Friday: Oven Baked Chicken, Parmesan Potatoes, Carrot Salad, Green Salad, Jellied Salad
Saturday: Leftover Smorg
Sunday: BBQ Chicken Breasts, Potato Salad, Cucumber Salad, Tossed Salad, Jellied Salad
I am reading... "The Prodigal Daughter" by Jeffrey Archer
I am praying for... My daughter - that she will be better soon.
Pondering these words...Most of us are so busy simply keeping up with our over-committed lives that we have lost a sense of what we care about and what we are good at. ~Barbara Moses~
I am hoping... My daughter feels better soon.
I am hearing... The fans running & the TV downstairs
Around the house... Soup for my daughter simmering on the stove, spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove, my unwell daughter watching TV downstairs, stuff to still be put away from our weekend away as we got back late.
One of my favorite things... Camping

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh no! Did she get sick from camping? Love Tuesday's menu, but . . . only one day this week? Last week it was two. ;-) Parm potatoes - yum! I love the colored fire!
ReplyDeleteNo, our daughter got sick the Friday morning before they headed out to meet us. Haha - yup - he gets off easy this week. Back to two next week ;) The colored fire is so much fun - our son makes sure it is a must have whenever we are camping!
DeleteI will try this again, I forgot to post the comment! I love the hollyhocks, they are so beautiful! I have not been able to grow them successfully here, but I am holding out hope for the one that is growing this summer. it is from one of my grandmother's "black raspberry" hollyhock. Here's hoping it keeps growing! I hope your daughter is feeling much better soon, and that you didn't get any severe storms today. I really like the quote, that is one to right down in my journal! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteOh, "black raspberry" sounds beautiful! I do hope it grows & blooms and you are able to take a picture to share it. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful picture! I may look up that book, I have a daughter being a bit of a prodigal right now as well. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny!
DeletePraying for your daughter to get well soon. Love the colorful fire picture!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The doctor gave her some meds so hopefully they help perk her up soon!
DeleteYour campfire is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Felicia! The pics just don't do it justice :)
DeleteI love a warm campfire at night! We have quite a few of them...and fortunately we live in the woods so there are downed trees all the time to fuel our firepit! Roasted marshmallows! I'm hungry after reading your menu. I love that you do lots of salads (Sunday). I do that a lot in the summer! I BBQ meat out and then just pair it was a number of cold salads from the fridge...Ramen Broccoli Salad, Potato and Egg, Macaroni, and Fruit. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteWe live on the prairies so fires are a treat :) Salads are awesome in the summer and make it so easy to get dinner on the table in the heat! Thanks for stopping by :)
