Nothing signifies that spring is on the way to me
more than the appearance of the pussy willows.
This year the trees are especially full with these soft beauties.
As I was picking these it had started to snow and one droplet
remained as I took the picture.
There are willow pussies
Clad in furry goods,
And a robin singing
In the maple woods.
There's a springing crocus,
And a budding larch,
Who'd ever think the Springtime
Came along in March.
