Not only is it super tasty and colorful I also love the smell of it cooking.
Meatballs
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 Tbsp. minced, dried onion
1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp/ pepper
Mix together and shape into meatballs. Place in roasting pan.
Sweet 'n Sour Sauce
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. flour
1/2 cup vinegar
1/3 cup water
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. ketchup
1 can crushed pineapple (including juice)
sliced pepper strips, red and green
Mix sauce together and pour over meatballs.
Cook in 350F oven for 1 hour or until thoroughly cooked.
I like to serve this with rice, steamed broccoli and a tossed salad.
Sounds tasty!♥
ReplyDeletePS...do you not brown the meatballs first? Just checking??
That is one step I don't usually do. I have very lean ground beef so there is hardly any fat that comes off the meatballs when cooking and it just saves me time by not having to do it.
DeleteI love the concept of sweet and sour anything! Looks good!
