When I first saw this tablecloth at the thrift store
I fell in love with the pattern on it but didn't buy it.
When I was back in the thrift store a few weeks later
and it was still there I knew it was meant to be :)
I also found this beautiful crocheted doilie
and the tan and pinks went together beautifully with the tablecoth.
It must have been my lucky day because I also found
this wonderful pink vase and on top if it
everything was an additional 30% off!
I wondered what flowers I should add in here
and then I remembered I had some peonies.
Then I just added some simple tan candles on either side.
I wanted to keep it simple and let the patterns and colors shine.
I've had these little glass candle holders for as long as I can remember.
I added this cute little cream and sugar set
which I had also found at the thrift store.
I added some light pink placemats and used my favorite dishes.
I love how the tans and pinks in the plates complement the tablecoth.
The glasses also have a hint of pink.
And a tan napkin with a light pink floral napkin ring.
When my daughter saw this tablescape
she said if she had button for
"Daughters Choice Award"
she would award it for this table.
Hope you enjoyed it too :)

Loved it! It all went together so well...even the holders you'd had for years...I would know I had them but wouldn't remember where I'd put them! Really sweet.....and I'm so glad you went back for the tablecloth! Joan
ReplyDeleteThe tablecloth is so pretty and filled with soft pinkie colors. Just like the tablescape! It looks so lovely and inviting.
ReplyDeleteI always say, when something "calls" to you and it is the right price... get it! You were lucky it was still there!
I was surprised it was still there a few weeks later when I got back. I guess it was meant to be for me :)
DeleteI LOVE those glasses! And I have probably a weird question...
ReplyDelete...how do you get all the ants out of your peonies?
It's really beautiful!!

I hose them down first, cut them, give them a shake and then if there are still ants I dunk them in some water. Hope this helps!
