You probably remember this little corner I showed you
where I like to sit and have a morning coffee.
Well, I thought I would show you the rest of the deck.
We have french doors off our dining room area
which lead onto this deck.
In this corner I have a temporary greenhouse.
It has been so cool and rainy here that I have
been housing some plants here until it warms up
enough to put them out into the garden.
On a warm summer day this deck
provides a nice cool shady spot to enjoy our evening meal.
This bright little table cloth I found at a thrift store.
All I had to do was cut a little hole in the middle.
These little tealight holders my hubby picked up for me.
They have little hearts on the top :)
and they are made of cast iron and are quite heavy.
They are great for holding down the tablecloth
when the breeze picks up.
This is my favorite newest addition.
I found it at a local garden center on clearance.
I hope as the summer progresses that the flowers will fill up
and overflow this watering can.
And last but not least, my friendly little owl,
who peeks out at you as you come to our back door :)

Your back porch looks like a great place for a coffee or a meal. I like the little clearance watering can and pot.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer!

Thanks Pat! It was a great find :)
DeleteThanks for giving us the guided tour! I think it's lovely. I like the little lanterns and especially like your planter....it looks lovely now but when the flowers cascade down it will be lovely! Please send us a photo then! Joan

Thank you Deana. Too bad we couldn't spread our weather out and give everyone a happy medium.
DeleteThat is such a cozy happy patio! I like the table cloth idea. The watering can with flowers is so pretty, too! Have a a happy week!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Susie
Thanks Susie!
DeleteSo restful-looking...soothing to the eyes! Cool and rainy weather sounds delightful right now...here in IL it's been 90's-100+ and humid for weeks, very abnormal for June. I fear we've lost our "al-fresco" dining season...in July, the yellowjackets and wasps get aggressive, and we can no longer eat outside. :-(
ReplyDeleteLove your little bucket and watering can flower pots...lovely!
Blessings,
Lori
Thanks Lori! The wasps are usually worse here in August - that's when hubby takes to eating outside with a flyswatter in hand - lol.
DeleteBeautiful deck! I bet it is so romantic when you lite the tea light holders your husband gave you! Hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny! It is a wonderful spot to sit in the evening :)
DeleteHi, Alana! I'm stopping by via Lori's Tuesday Project Party. Your deck is simple and beautiful! I can just imaging sitting there, sipping tea and enjoying bright summer days, and still evenings. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day!
Christine
Christine - Thanks for stopping by. It is a wonderful spot :)
DeleteYour deck looks like such a comfortable place to relax and have a good meal. That was sweet of hubby to get the tea light holders with hearts on them. We have an owl like yours to scare the birds away but we have never taken the time to fill him with something to weigh him down so he is usually on the deck floor under the table - not much help with the birds. lol
ReplyDeleteWe have two and I found them in the garage so I pulled them out - one is on our deck and the other one is one a pole in our garden. He rattles around out there but I'm not so sure how good it is at scaring the birds away - lol.
