X-Stitch Pillowcases

I finally completed a set of pillowcases I have been working on.

While working on the pillowcases I only see a little bit at a time.

It always amazes me how pretty it looks when I take it out of the hoop.

And once it is washed and the print is removed it is even prettier.

And the colors become so much more vibrant.

They are very cheerful.

And will brighten someones pillow.

I just had to see what they looked like on the pillow.

And they definately brighten up the room.

So onward I go onto my next set of pillowcases with butterflies and flowers.

Hopefully I will complete them a lot quicker than I completed these :)

  1. They are lovely. My great aunts gave my mother pillowcases that they had made and cross stitched. I remember, as a little girl, loving having them on my pillows because they were so much prettier than the plain ones that came with the sheet sets.

  2. Dear Alana,

These are absolutely lovely! You did such a beautiful job...what precious heirlooms you have created! I just love this type of craft...they add such a special old fashioned touch to your home. I know how much time and work went into these...you deserve a big round of applause!

    Have a blessed day!

  3. Beautiful work! I used to do some embroidery when I was younger, but let it slip from my hobbies for some unknown reason. You have reminded me how embroidery can really transform an everyday thing like a pillow case into a treasured keepsake.

  7. They're so pretty. I've never tried my hand at cross-stitch though I have embroidered on occasion.
