David Thompson Highway and Crimson Lake

Heading homewards from our holidays
we took the David Thompson Highway.

This highway just continues with the breathtaking views.

It was probably a good thing that there weren't a lot of places to pull over and stop
or we may have never reached our destination!

The stunning mountains, lakes and forests
kept my camera clicking.

It was such a beautiful day to take this drive
with clear blue skies and not a whisper of wind.

Our poor pup got so tired he fell asleep looking out the window! lol :D

Once we reached Crimson Lake Provincial Park
we unloaded our kayaks.

It was such a beautiful evening.

And the lake was just the right size to kayak around.

Lilypads and loons!
The call of the loon is so hauntingly beautiful.

Such a peaceful way to end our holiday.

  4. We live on the coast and do all of our kayaking in the ocean. The lake looks like a beautiful place to paddle.

    1. My daughter goes to school on the coast and is planning on doing her internship there this summer. We are hoping to take a holiday there to visit during the summer and maybe we can get in some ocean kayaking! It would be fun :)
