Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, - a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.
~George Herbert
Another snow storm and once again family members travelling.
I am thankful once again for safe travel.
A hubby who notices and takes care of the little things.
He noticed that outside back door wasn't sealing 100%
and got busy and fixed it right away.
I am thankful for quiet days working around the home.
I am thankful we were able to find a trustworthy mechanic
that our daughter could take her car to.
I am thankful we were able to find a trustworthy mechanic
that our daughter could take her car to.
I am thankful that the mechanic was able to find the problem
and fix it and that the bill wasn't too high.
I am thankful hubby was called in to work.
The unexpected overtime pay will cover the car repair cost.
God provided before we even knew our need.
What are you thankful for this week?

BEAUTIFUL tablescape again, Alana. I love the table cloth, the napkins and the napkin rings. I didn't take a picture this week of our Sunday table, but I have to share something with you...as I was preparing your delicious stir fry for our dinner I thought how nice it would be to light a candle. My eyes drifted toward the tart burner that I keep on the kitchen counter. I moved it to the table and lit an apple/pumpkin pie scented tea light in it. Carroll noticed! He loved the way it made the room smell special for lunch! :) Then I came here and saw your adorable owl! Love your candle...that is SO elegant.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dianna! Guys are funny that way - they don't say much but I am sure they notice and appreciate it :) My Hubby doesn't comment on my tablescapes too much other than to ask, "now which dish am I supposed to use" lol BUT...when we are out browsing or at garage sales he is almost always the one who finds those little extras for "my tablescapes" lol so I know he likes them :) Hope you have a wonderful day!
DeleteLovely table! Once in awhile, Wonderful Hubby (and the kids, when they are home) will comment on a tablescape. I think they sort of enjoy the little extra time it takes me to put together. I'm very thankful for them and enjoy doing it!! God is Good! enjoy your week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! I love the seeing what I can come up with each week for a tablescape. Sometimes it surprises me how it all comes together :)
