The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today... Sunday, June 10, 2012

Outside my window... Blue sky, sunshine and it is windy.

I am thinking... Of the things I need to do before I head out the door today.

I am thankful for... My daughter got a full time job at a neighborhood play program leader - a job she was really hoping for.

From the kitchen...
~Today:  Smothered Swiss Steak, Perogies, Corn, Salad, Ice Cream
~Monday:  Baked Salmon Steaks, Rose Pasta, Peas, Cauliflower, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
~Tuesday: Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Rice, Broccoli, Salad, Chocolate Cake
~Wednesday:  Pork & Peppers, Rice, Zucchini Bake, Tossed Salad, Chocolate Pudding Sundaes
~Thursday: Slow Roasted Chicken w/Honey Ginger Glaze, Potstickers, Mixed Asian Vegetables, Asian Salad, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
~Friday: Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Ceasar Salad, Chocolate Cake
~Saturday: Leftover Smorg

I am wearing... Jeans and a pink shirt.

I am creating... Outdoor beauty!

I am reading... Small Changes for a Better Life by Elizabeth George

I am praying for... Some friends who are going through a difficult time.

Pondering these words...   To cultivate the sense of the beautiful, is one of the most effectual ways of cultivating an appreciation of the Divine goodness. ~Christian Nestell Bovee~
I am still hoping... To go camping for a few days.

I am hearing... The wind blowing and bird singing.

Around the house... Housework and gardening.

One of my favorite things... Enjoying a morning cup of coffee on the deck.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Finish working in the rose garden, rototille the garden, do some fertilizing and transplanting, work on some Father's Day projects along with regular housework and errands.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

Even Momma Robin added some color to her home :)
