The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today... Sunday, May 13, 2012

Outside my window... Blue sky and sunshine with a bit of a breeze.  It is supposed to be nice and warm and today.

I am thinking... About mothers.

I am thankful for... .My mother.

From the kitchen...
~Today: BBQ at my parents
~Monday: Beefy Itchiban, Salad
~Tuesday: Spaghetti & Meatballs, Ceasar Salad
~Wednesday: Chicken & Rice Casserole, Broccoli, Salad
~Thursday: Mom's Goulash, Ceasar Salad, Fresh Veggies
~Friday: Maple Glazed SAlmon, Baked Potatoes, Broccoli, Corn
~Saturday: Pork Stew, Buns, Salad

I am wearing... Grey dress pants, grey and purple ruffled shirt, purple cardigan, grey heeled boots.

I am creating... A rose garden.

I am going... To church and then a BBQ

I am reading... Small Changes for a Better Life by Elizabeth George

I am praying for...My daughter to find a job for the summer.

Pondering these words... A mother understands what a child does not say. ~Author Unknown

I am still hoping... We could go for one whole week without seeing snow.

I am hearing... Air purifier

Around the house... Well, outside the house the old dog run is being taken apart.

One of my favorite things... Sitting by the fire.

A few plans for the rest of the week... It's a quiet week so I will just be puttering around the yard and home with one day set aside for shopping & errands.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

My new vignette in the living room just makes it so warm and cozy as we gather and share our day.

Thank you Peggy for the The Simple Woman's Daybook {follow links to read more}.
