Tablescape Thursday

This will be my second tablescape and I thought I would do something for our family breakfast.  Since we now have snow outside I thought I would do a fall theme with a touch of winter.

I started off with a simple white tablecloth.  I love the cutout design along the edge.

Then I added a large candle and some fall leaves.

Then comes the touch of winter.

I found these cute little glasses at the thrift store.  I added coarse salt and a tealight.
I think it looks a little bit like snow.

I added a couple of flowers between the candles.

Then came the tablesetting.  Nothing fancy.  Just some dishes I've had seen we were first married.

And my favorite teapot for breakfast.

I love syrups so these will hold three varieties of syrup - maple, cherry and saskatoon.

I added a little tealight at each place setting.

And it's coming all together.

It's a good thing my family is patient.   But the food does arrive :)

I hope you enjoyed my breakfast tablescape.  I'm participating in Tablescape Thursdays at Between Naps on the Porch.  Go check it out to see some amazing and beautiful tablescapes.

  1. I think it looks very nice. I like your idea of coarse salt in the goblet. It did look like snow.

My boys don't know what to think when I have a tablescape but I think they appreciate deep down that mom tries to make things nice.

  2. Very cute tablescape. And now I'm hungry. That fruit looks wonderful.

  3. Oh my goodness...this is a beautiful table!

But what truly adds that special touch? the food of course ;)!

  4. Great simple but stylish lines. Love the fact that you've offered three kinds of syrups. Yum. I'll be right over.

  5. Beautiful Alana!

I loved the salt as snow idea!

Do you make your own syrups?? They sound wonderful!

  6. What an absolutely perfect table setting you have created just in time for the holidays. I just love all of the different textures. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

  7. This is so pretty -- the food looks delicious! Thanks for letting us watch you set the table.

  8. What a charming breakfast table...the pancakes are making me salivate!

  9. I like it...the colors are so vibrant and play off your dishes perfectly. I get an error message when I try to follow you but I'll be back to try again.

  10. That cutout design on your tablecloth IS beautiful! So delicate!!!

  11. It came together so nicely and the food looks delicious!

  12. Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

Blondee - I do make my own syrups except for the maple. I love trying different variations on syrup recipes.

  13. This must have been a huge delight for your family! It's really lovely Alana. You did a great job! What a blessing to sit down to such a beautiful breakfast table :-) You have a knack for creating very pretty settings! blessings..Trish
