Keeping It Simple. Keeping It Natural.

Life is busy!
School...Work...Ailing parents...Adult children moving home...
Planning a move....

It is a time in my life when I need to simplify
and one of the areas I decided to do that in
was in the decorating.

As much as I do enjoy seasonal decorating it does take time.
So for now I decided to go for an all season look.

It feels so simple and fresh.
Just what I was looking for.

After a long day the combination of fresh plants
and glowing candles helps me to relax.

So for now I'm keeping it simple, keeping it natural,
allowing me to focus my time where needed
during this season of life.

  3. Agree with Laura. We too are at that point in our lives. Only what we use and truly love!

  4. Alana, I could have written these exact words! Too busy, sick parents, adult kids, etc. We just keep putting one foot in front of the other though and keep a positive attitude.

Thank you so much for linking with us at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. We are honored to have you. :)

  5. Hi, Alana! Melissa from Texas here. I so agree with you about seasonal decorating. I don't do much of it but what I do (a large Christmas village) requires a lot of time to put up and even more time to take down. That is why it has become my husband's job! One year he decided he could do a better job, I agreed with him and now it is his job -- see how well that worked out for me! I do the tree which I am considering not doing next year. My tree is down -- his village isn't -- it is Februrary! Hahaha! Love your blog and your owl and your approach to things. I will be back often.
