Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Ribs

This is another simple and quick recipe to put together.
The recipe is from "Company's Coming Slow Cooker Recipes".

Ingredients
3 lbs. Meaty pork spareribs, cut into 2-3 rib sections
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup vinegar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. ketchup
1/4 tsp. garlic pepper

Layer ribs in a 5-quart slow cooker.

Mix remaining ingredients together
and pour over ribs.

Cook on Low for 10-12 hours
or on High for 5-6 hours
until ribs are very tender.

Serves 6.

  1. Looks super easy. Thanks for sharing. I love to pull out the crock pot and let things simmer all day.

  2. I don't have a slow cooker, but should really invest in one. I love the idea of putting together something quickly and then leave it to do its thing in the slow cooker. It would be nice to come home at the end of the day and find that dinner is both ready and delicious.

    1. I really don't know what I would do without my crockpots (I have 3), especially now that I am often working over the dinner hour. On those days I often have 2 crockpots going, one with the main dish and the smaller one with veggies. It makes it so easy for hubby when he comes home from a long day at work :)
