The Simple Woman's Daybook

For today...  Monday, September 14, 2015

Outside my window... Cloudy & cool - rain is on its way.

I am thinking...  Of how hard it was to get going this morning.

I am thankful for....  My husband who is so supportive

From the kitchen...
  Monday: Hubby Cooks
Tuesday:  Parmesan & Herb Salmon, Herbed Pasta, Oven Baked Zucchini, Parslied Carrots, Tossed Salad
Wednesday:  Spaghetti & Meat Sauce, Garlic Bread, Ceasar Salad
  Thursday:  Hubby Cooks
  Friday: Hubby Cooks
Saturday: Chili, Toasted Kaiser Buns, Corn on the Cob, Marinated Vegetables
Sunday:  Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Broccoli w/Cheese, Buttered Carrots & Turnip, Tossed Salad, German Chocolate Cake

I am wearing... Jeans and a purple & grey striped top with matching grey cardigan & grey boots

I am creating... Still working on a new office/crafting space.

I am reading... Still reading the "The Prodigal Daughter" by Jeffrey Archer.

I am praying for...  Family & Friends

Pondering these words...  Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means. ~Robert Louis Stevenson~

I am hoping...  To get the new office/crafting space done soon.

I am hearing... Complete silence

One of my favorite things...  Pumpkin Spice Lattes

A few plans for the rest of the week...
~Monday:  School, Office Work, Work
~Tuesday:  School, Hair Appointment, Coffee w/mom, Grocery Shopping

  4. Your menu sounds good. Especially the days that hubby cooks. I miss my husband cooking. They were special days, indeed! Complete silence can be the best thing to hear!

  5. Alana: Ditto what Paula said! I noticed your "Hubby Cooks" nights. My husband cooked from time to time, too. Such good words your were pondering! Good lesson. Have a great week.
