For today... Sunday, November 25, 2012
Outside my window... It is still dark.I am thinking... How I wish I was feeling better.
I am thankful for... A warm, cozy home.
From the kitchen... Nothing this week as we will be away.
I am wearing... Sweat pants and a sweat shirt - ready to head out for a morning walk before church.
I am creating... Embroidered Pillowcases.
I am reading... How Then Shall We Live by Francis A. Schaeffer
I am praying for... Safe travels this week.
Pondering these words... Joy can be real only if people look on their life as a service, and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their personal happines. ~Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy~
I am still hoping... For a trip to the moutains.
I am hearing... The furnace running.
Around the house... Trying to finish the Christmas decorating before we go away.
One of my favorite things... Christmas decor :)
A few plans for the rest of the week... Travelling, Resting & Relaxing
Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Thank you Peggy for the The Simple Woman's Daybook {follow links to read more}.
Embroidered pillowcases sound awesome! I really need to get back into the swing of crafting and of course, photographing all the while & then share. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Thanks for visiting Jean!
DeleteHello Alana,
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to read what others are doing "at this moment in time." Did you cross stitch the red bird? Appears that someone did from a card. It's lovely.
Safe travels this week!
Yes, I did cross stitch the bird. They are a favorite of mine!
DeleteI enjoyed embroidery when my children were growing up as a stress-reliever. My mom's favorite bird is a cardinal, so I love your current project!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy!
DeleteHi! What a pretty picture of a red bird. Sorry it's taken so long to get back.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Have a great day!
Pat
Thanks so much Pat!
DeleteI am sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I know how this goes, as I've been dealing with minor illnesses this whole year. I pray that you will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll get to go to the mountains this week as planned. Sounds like it should be a fun and relaxing trip.
The red bird you cross-stitched looks lovely as well.
Blessings to you! :)
Thanks so much for your well wishes!
DeleteTolstoy's words are beautiful. I never read Schaeffer. I really like your Simple Woman's Daybook. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Katarina!
DeleteYou visited Marty's Musings and I wanted to thank you for the visit and also tell you I hope you get to make the Russian Tea in the future! Here's to simple pleasures!
