Chicken Hurry

Before I went on holidays I had a few people ask about
Chicken Hurry which was on my weekly menu plan.
The original recipe is from Company's Coming Casseroles
and is one of the first recipes I cooked
when we were newly married, over 20 years ago!
It has remained a family favorite all this time :)

Ingredients
2-1/2 to 3 lbs. chicken parts
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugr
2 envelopes dry onion soup mix

Arrange chicken parts in small roaster or casserole.
In small bowl combine ketchup, water, sugar and soup mix.
Mix together well and pour over chicken.
Bake, covered in 350F oven for at least 1 hour until very tender.
Serves 4-6.

I normally serve this with rice as the sauce seems to complement it the best
but I also occasionaly serve it with mashed potates.
I love this recipe because it is super quick to put together
and then you can put it in the oven and forget about it for awhile.
